In late 2022, the Biden administration launched the Task Force on New Americans. Led by the White House’s Domestic Policy Council, the task force’s mission is to strengthen and coordinate federal, state, and local efforts to support the integration and inclusion of immigrants and refugees in U.S. communities. The National Center on Immigrant Integration Policy (NCIIP) of the Migration Policy Institute has long argued for the need to create such an office within the White House. To support the task force's work, NCIIP developed a set of documents highlighting pressing integration issues and offering recommendations as to how to address these issues. The documents cover the following issues: early childhood education and care, K-12 education, adult education and workforce development, language access, and integration research and data. The link above combines all these separate reports into a single document.
