Middle-Skills Credentials and Immigrant Workers: Idaho's Untapped Assets
The Idaho economy has robust demand for middle-skill workers. More than half of all jobs in Idaho (53 percent) are middle-skill occupations that require more than a high school diploma, but not a four-year degree. Yet only 50 percent of Idaho workers have been educated to the middle-skill level. This fact sheet by the National Skills Coalition summarizes data showing that immigrants are part of Idaho's middle-skill solution and could contribute more if Idaho invested in their skills.
